Watch the process of a live painting for the 2025 Delta Waterfowl Auction.
It starts before the event, in my studio. Here, the painting will be completed about 60%, depending on the length of the event. During the first hours, I finish painting the subject. Then, the attendees get called up to help fill in the background. The painting is then auctioned off. It will head home with me for touch ups and varnish, then get shipped off to its new home a few weeks later.
